Ontario high school students

All Ontario high school students must meet the following admissions requirements:

Geography and Aviation

WEV

  • English (a final grade of at least 70% is normally required)
  • One Grade 12 U-level Mathematics
  • One or more Grade 12 U or M Geography courses strongly recommended
  • A second Grade 12 U Mathematics
  • Earth and Space Science
  • A second Grade 12 U-level mathematics
  • high 70s to low 80s

Science and Aviation

WSV

  • English (a final grade of at least 70% is normally required)
  • Advanced Functions (a final grade of at least 70% is normally required)
  • Calculus and Vectors (a final grade of at least 70% is normally required)
  • Any two grade 12 U-level courses from: Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Space Science, Mathematics of Data Management, or Physics.
  • Chemistry, Earth and Space Science, Physics and one additional mathematics

 

  • low 80s

 

* These courses will help you succeed in your academic studies at Waterloo but do not affect admissions.

** Admission averages are based on previous years' entering classes. Your admission average is calculated using your top 6 Grade 12 U or M courses, or equivalent, including all required courses.
