Professional Pilot Program Course Outlines

The Professional Pilot Program courses are offered over a period of six academic terms, beginning in semester 1B Winter, as seen in the ‘Sequencing Summary’ and shown in the Honours Regular Geography and Aviation plan. Overall, the flight-training component is offered concurrently with the courses, with some blocks of training concentrated in Spring/Summer seasons (academic off terms). The benchmarks are:

The six Professional Pilot Program theory courses (numbered I through VI), each consist of approximately 75 lecture and tutorial hours, and have each been assigned a 0.5 unit weight. For each course, a title, course description, and mandatory subject areas are provided below (detailed coverage can be seen in the Transport Canada Study and Reference Guides, placed in the Dean of Environmental Studies Office).
